Elezioni comunali a Ludwigshafen: il cattolicese Ciccarello capolista del partito DIE LINKE
Alle prossime elezioni comunali di Ludwigshafen (Germania) che si terranno il 25 maggio 2014, la Linke proporrà il Dr. Liborio Ciccarello, di origine cattolicese, come capolista. “Voglio continuare il mio impegno a sostegno dei diritti degli stranieri specie nell‘ ambito lavorativo e scolastico“, spiega Ciccarello, attuale membro del consiglio comunale di Ludwigshafen. Infatti a Ludwigshafen vivono 35.000 stranieri, tra cui 20.000 cittadini della Unione Europea. Gli italiani a Ludwigshafen sono 7.500, di cui un quinto con doppia cittadinanza: tra gli italiani la maggioranza è di origine agrigentina e sopratutto proveniente da Cattolica Eraclea e Palma di Montechiaro, ma anche da altre parti dell’Italia come Altilia e Carfizzi.
A Ludwigshafen mentre ogni decimo cittadino tedesco è disoccupato, lo è ogni quinto straniero. Inoltre lasciano due volte più studenti stranieri che tedeschi la scuola senza titolo di studio (10 % vs. 5 %). Sopratutto questa disuguaglianza la Linke vuole rimuovere. Non a caso infatti la Linke ha proposto una lista multiculturale: Oltre a Ciccarello – membro del presidio regionale della Renania-Palatinato del partito DIE LINKE – come capolista, la medesima lista include altri candidati provenienti da Cattolica Eracla come Giuseppe Graceffo, ex-responsabile del PCI di Ludwigshafen negli anni ottanta, Nicolò Marchetta, Giuseppina Trupia, Biagio Agozzino, Matteo Termine e Giovanna Russo.
